Engine oil change – Important! Read!

The older the car, the more often you need to check and change the oil. For new cars, the oil should not be changed earlier than stated by the manufacturer.

• Check the oil level when the engine is cold or 10-15 minutes after it has been turned off
• Check the oil level once a week
• Make sure your car doesn’t leave oily spots
• If you add oil yourself, DO NOT REFILL!!!
• Check the colour and smell of the oil – If, after unscrewing the filler cap, you smell an unpleasant burning smell, then something is wrong. The black colour of the oil indicates that it is burning. Rub the oil between your fingertips. When you feel shavings or other dirt – report it to the Mechanic.
