Exhaust
- we replace the middle Exhaust
- we replace the end Exhaust
- we replace catalysts
Driving a car with a hole in the exhaust system is not pleasant. The cabin is very noisy and due to the increased noise, the engine does not gain power. Therefore, there is no point in delaying the repair.
More information about Exhausts:
An ad hoc method of Exhaust repair, recommended only in emergency situations, is the purchase of a special tape that seals the blow-through. However, the effectiveness of such a repair is small, so it can only be recommended in emergency situations to reach your destination as comfortably as possible.
Welding Exhaust Repair
Another way is to weld the hole. However, the repair is not always effective, because in many cases the pipe or Exhaust is so rusted that there is nothing to weld. Playing with inserting patches does not make sense, because in a moment the hole will fall out next to it.
The next way is to make an exhaust system. Many people choose to do this repair because of the lower costs. If the workshop is professional, it will select the appropriate pipe diameters and silencers and there will be no disturbances in the flow of exhaust gases. However, when we use too large or too small diameters and choose the wrong dampers, we can feel a significant deterioration in dynamics.
In addition, the materials may be of poor quality and it may turn out that they will last only one season. This method of repair can only be recommended for unusual cars for which there are no substitutes.
Preferably a new Exhaust
The last and most recommended repair method is simply to buy a new Exhaust. The output will be higher, but the durability will be longer. There is a very wide range on the market and for most cars, we have a choice from several manufacturers, both domestic and foreign.
Exhaust systems
Works:
- flue gas discharge
- reduction of noise generated during exhaust gas expansion
- reducing the emission of toxic compounds into the atmosphere
We recommend checking the technical condition of the exhaust system, e.g. when changing the engine oil. In case of the finding:
- damage to rubber hangers or elements connecting individual parts of the system – they should be replaced with new ones because it affects the durability of other elements, the falling muffler may not only damage itself but also damage the bumper or, for example, the fuel tank or brake lines
- damage to the seals – they should be replaced with new ones because they cause leaks in the exhaust system and may lead to the penetration of exhaust gases into the interior of the vehicle and cause damage (burning) of the muffler joints, which may lead to their premature replacement
- damaged Exhausts and catalytic converters – replace them with new ones. A damaged Exhausts can cause exhaust gases to enter the cabin, and a damaged catalytic converter does not clean the exhaust gases, which leads to increased toxicity of exhaust gases, and in vehicles with the EOBD II system, it causes the engine diagnostics lamp to light up and in extreme cases causes damage to the lambda probe
